Similarly, there will be two attempts to pressurise God’s people, the spiritual Jerusalem, to submit to a false standard of worship. During the reign of pope Leo the XIIIth attempts were made to introduce labour and enforced Sunday legislation and the pope wrote the encyclical Rerum Novarum that set the tone for the Catholic doctrine on social justice.
