  • We tend to think that we need to persuade God into healing us, saving us, blessing us, and filling us with the Holy Spirit. God is ordinarily unwilling and reluctant, and so we must get him to change his mind, we think. Nothing can be further from the truth. God had made up his mind to heal us, save us, bless us, and give us all things. As proof, he sent his only Son. If God did not spare his own Son, how much more will he give us all things along with his Son. We need not persuade God but ourselves so that our thoughts will align with God’s will.
