あらすじ・解説
Georgian Banov is an ‘Apostle of Joy.’ Everywhere he and his wife, Winnie, go they bring the supernatural joy of the Lord.
In this episode of “What the Spirit is Saying to the Church” Georgian stresses the need to get back to the practice of the early church. It was not big buildings, nor big meetings that turned the world upside down. Rather, it was small groups who welcomed the outcast and the disenfranchised.
As a communist atheist refugee, Georgian came to America with no vision. He was fleeing oppression and had no idea what to do next. Yet, it was the ‘Jesus People’ of the 1970’s living in community, feeding the hungry, and loving the unlovely that reached Georgian’s heart. Good news looked like something.
In an age of a world-wide pandemic, government over-reach, and the tension of gathering, Georgian says we must get back to the simplicity of the apostolic gospel where all believers welcome people into their homes and break bread together (Acts 2:42; Acts 5:42).
Yes, there will be stadium gatherings. However, the same time we must gather together wherever we are and share food and fellowship. We must win the hearts of people who have lost their way. Jesus said, “I have come to seek and to save the lost”, How will He do that today? He will do it through you and through me, through our relationships.
Listen to what this ‘Apostle of Joy’ says the Spirit is Saying to the Church as he exhorts the us to get back to apostolic Christianity.
