  • In February 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine, triggering a war which has had a devastating impact on the people, the environment and wildlife. Prior to the conflict, a small team from the University of East Anglia and the British Trust for Ornithology had been tracking the migrations of the endangered greater spotted eagle using the very latest in GPS tracking technology. With the kit still active on these majestic birds, the team have been able to study the impact of the conflict on their migrating behaviour.
