    There hasn’t been an episode for a little while, so today’s episode is a little longer than usual! It was recorded pre-pandemic with the incredible force of determination and resilience - Maddy Warren who was nominated by Deena Gornick in episode 18. Maddy is a consultant, TEDx speaker, skydiver, kidney patient advocate and she has been on dialysis for 23 years after experiencing kidney failure at the age of 14 and she has the amazing self-appointed title of Queen of Dialysis. Over the course of our conversation, I learnt so much from Maddy, not only about kidneys and self-dialysis but about courage, independence, community, resilience and not giving up on what’s important to you, regardless of the hurdles that may get in the way. I felt so inspired by Maddy and in awe of her ability to reframe even the most monumental of challenges and setbacks and I hope you will too. She is the founder of Greater Than 11% - a podcast and collective agency promoting diversity and creating platforms for underrepresented groups across the creative sectors and Renee has been recognised with a number of awards for her contribution to the industry. Renee is incredibly driven, passionate about driving a more inclusive industry and open about the support she receives, we discuss so many topics from inspiring creativity, her belief in the power of therapy ... all the way to where her love of incredible eclectic clothes comes from.
