  • My friends, this is an episode I felt called to put together after seeing how Dr. Taylor Marshall gets attacked for his advocacy for the practice of receiving on the tongue. As I say in the episode, I don't listen to his podcast all that often and I also acknowledge that I wish he would find a way to defend the faith with great vigor and more manifest charity in his tone. At the end of the day, the early church fathers often spoke with a similar tone (we shouldn't be shocked by it) and still maintained christian unity. This is because unity is a matter of doctrine, not a matter of saying nice things. The Church allows for both practices, but the real issue is reverence and taking care that the Eucharist is handled with care.
