Surprisingly contemporary and readable. Mr. Bacheller wrote many books but didn't seem to gain longevity. Fame is fickle.

A man and woman meet again after many years. Remarkably, they soon find themselves in his apartment. Hmmm...the plot thickens. Nice NYC vibe from 1900s. Readable and not as dry as I thought Wharton was. Me likee. 

First novel of FS Fitzgerald. I wonder if it is autobiographical. Interesting opening about a mother and son, both pampered, rich, self-absorbed. What's not to love?

Wow. Not a favorite. Am surprised. IMHO Beginning is confusing and overly written. Maybe I'm missing something. 

Dame Christie's first published mystery. Charming. Me likee. 

His first book. Started out as a short story, then became a novel he never finished. Published posthumously. Interesting and accessible. Two Thumbs.
