  • サマリー

  • If a billionaire donates money to a good cause, does that make them a good person? Hosts Emily Walsh and Daniel Moss are two married millennials who learned about financial crises by living through them, and now they’re diving into the wild world of the uber rich. They discuss financial crimes, the breakdown of the American dream, and why funding a museum doesn’t necessarily make you a good person. They get into the old timey rich, like the Rockafeller family, and current events, like why you might not want to shop at Walmart. Each week they’ll dive into a new wealthy person, give you the rundown on their lives, whatever “good things” they’ve done in the past, and why they might be a bummer.

This week is a big one for the Crazy Eddie story. We start with an amusing little bit of insurance fraud and then we meet the final piece of the Crazy Eddie Crime Puzzle! Sam E. Antar was Eddie's nerdy younger cousin and he had an idea. An idea So Outrageous, So Crazy, and So Illegal that Eddie couldn't resist. They Were going to trick Wallstreet into thinking they were a WAY more successfull company then they actually were. And once they did, Crazy Eddie was getting into the Stock Market!

    Enjoy!

Our new topic this week is Crazy Eddie and the Antar family. An insane electronics company that started as part retail store, part scam. Every customer was a mark waiting to be tricked.
We get into their wild marketing and loud obnoxious commercials and strange cult following that formed around hating them.
This story is super fun and we hope you enjoy!
