Join Crystal as she interviews Michelle Smith! Wow what an interview! Crystal and Michelle met for the first time over zoom and the connection was immediate! They talk about Motherhood, Addiction, Treatment Centers, Therapy, Her Social Media Platform, Her Ted Talk and More! They both agreed that the main goal of anyone who is willing to be open about their recovery is to help the person who is struggling now because they both have been the person struggling.
About Michelle:
Michelle is an author, counselor, TEDx Speaker and founder of Recovery is the New Black, a digital community for moms living or exploring an alcohol-free life. As a wife and working mother of two, she fell into the "mommy juice" drinking culture. Michelle found a way out and has been in recovery from alcohol dependence since 2016. As a certified addiction counselor, she provides services to other moms who are seeking supportive alternatives to a boozy culture that tells us alcohol is an accessory to motherhood. Michelle has 20 years of experience in the field of addiction and behavioral health treatment.
