  • Ep 09: Leading Sustainable Cities w/ Brookhaven Mayor John Ernst
    2020/03/19

In this week’s episode, Brookhaven Mayor John Ernst shares the ways sustainability is implemented in the city. Just a few examples: championing energy efficiency in municipal buildings, testing a Tesla electric car as a police cruiser, to visionary concepts such as a micro-grid and battery storage. These initiatives deliver sustainability not only for the environment, but also financial sustainability for the citizens of Brookhaven.

Brookhaven’s strong leadership during the recent coronavirus pandemic has been applauded, and followed by others regionally. Could Brookhaven’s leadership on public health and sustainability, eventually lead us to say “As Brookhaven does, so does the State of Georgia?”

    Episode Highlights:

7:42 Green Building and Sustainability in Brookhaven

11:29 Envisioning Micro-grid, Generation & Storage of Renewables

13:47 Trending Renewables in Georgia & What is Driving it

  • Ep 03: Accelerating Vehicle Electrification w/ Anne Blair
    2020/02/04

This week we dive into electric vehicles. Unsurprisingly, a topic with some of the biggest FUD surrounding it. Disruptive new technologies are always accompanied by fear of change, only exacerbated by the industries invested in the status quo. Remember the cell phone market a decade ago? Anne goes over her work to raise awareness and adoption. EVs are no longer the future, they are here now. Come drive with us and find out for yourself.
