Nigel’s back. And no one’s happy about it. Everyone hates Nigel. The humans and gorks want their amulet back and have declared open season on him in order to get it; his friends no longer want any part of his shenanigans; and his mom has kicked him out of the house. If only he would destroy the dashed amulet, but Nigel is convinced he can use it for good. Unfortunately, his attempts at becoming a hero backfire, culminating in a disaster that threatens all life in Esteria.

So maybe Kelvin lied a little about being a genius to fit in. And maybe a mad scientist is about to take over the universe unless Kelvin can stop him. Maybe everyone is doomed.

Aoléon and Gilbert have become the Luminon's top priority in stopping the Martian resistance movement. After being chased by the Royal Paladin Guard, they are forced to flee the Martian Megalopolis. Aoléon, Gilbert, and Zoot escape with the help of Bizwat and his newfound friend, Helios, a first-generation soldierbot. After their saucer is destroyed, they crash land somewhere in the deep Martian desert. They set out to locate Kyrios and the secret base where Aoléon's parents are being held captive.

Aoléon, Gilbert, Bizwat, Helios, and Zoot make it to their final destination, Cydonia, where Aoléon's parents are being held captive. They infiltrate a secret underground base and are confronted by a small army of sentrybots. Bizwat lends Aoléon and Gilbert some of his advanced combat skills via a psionic brain dump.

Crop circles magically appear in Farmer Johnson's field. A mysterious light sweeps over the night sky and awakens Farmer Johnson and Gilbert, the boy next door. Curious, Gilbert ventures out to discover the source of the light and stumbles into a beautiful Martian girl sitting in a crop circle. Farmer Johnson also investigates the strange light, and thinking that Gilbert and Aoléon are vandals, he chases them.

Aoleon and Gilbert are entrusted with a mission from PAX, a wanted criminal and leader of the Martian resistance movement. He wants them to investigate the Luminon of Mars, who he suspects is planning an invasion of Earth to steal its milk cows. Gilbert has an encounter with the Luminess (the mate of the Luminon) and discovers something strange about her. The undercover duo is chased by the Royal Paladin Guard.

Spying on the Luminon, Aoléon and Gilbert uncover his plot to steal Earth's milk cows. They make the disturbing discovery that the Martian leader plans to disrupt Mars' galact supply. Hoping to reach the galactworks before the Luminon's saboteur, the duo races to warn Aoléon's father, Deimos, manager at the galactworks, that he is in danger.
