In Touch the Earth, Drew Jackson continues the project he began in God Speaks Through Wombs, reflecting on the Gospel of Luke through poetry. America's first poet, Anne Bradstreet, wrote poems regularly for her family's private enjoyment. But in 1647, unbeknownst to Anne, her brother-in-law set sail for England with a manuscript of her poetry. Upon his return, he presented her book to her: The Tenth Muse Lately Sprung Up in America. Struggling with mental health issues can be lonely. The world, to the sufferer, is not bright and vibrant, but rather dark and bleak. We long to see the beauty, but it is difficult to navigate the caverns of depression. The light is always seen, but is just out of reach.

I wrote this anthology over a period of 11 years on and off. This book is borne from an encouragement and cheer ministry I have on the job plus the special gift I have in writing Christian poetry. I have been writing and reading verses and poems to cheer the sick I care for. I added a Bible verse each time, and both were received well and created joy in their hearts.
