Humans and Werewolves do not mix. I tried that once and all I have to show for it is a broken heart. No thanks. When I have to pretend that Daphne is my mate in order to find the mystical artifact threatening my clan, I know it's going to end badly. But I'll do anything to save my family, so I decide to act like the cheerful bookworm with the body of a goddess doesn't affect me in the least.

No, I'm not hot for the criminal, just the two Gargoyles I have to work with to catch him. One of these guys broke my heart twelve years ago. The other is my partner with the Supernatural Branch of the Seattle PD. Both should be off limits but my body isn't getting the message. When the three of us go undercover at a local "den of iniquity" to catch the killer, all the lines get blurred. Now I'm on the brink of falling for not one, but two growly Gargoyles.

Between the fights about who actually left socks all over the apartment (totally her) and who was the biggest workaholic (maybe a tie), we start to realize that the past isn't going to stay buried. All it takes is one illicit moment on the back of a motorcycle for us to reignite the passion that used to burn so hot between us. Returning to a love that broke both our hearts isn't going to help us survive. In fact it might just kill us. Problem is, we were never good at resisting one another.
