I was born in a little town in Hertfordshire, England. I can trace my ancestors back to Normandy, France to before the Norman Conquest in 1066. Until the early 20th century, we were landowners and farmers in Kent. At least one member from every generation, has gone into either the armed forces or clergy. With the modernisation of farming techniques, we sold up and moved nearer to the capital, finally settling in Tring. I am the middle child of five. Both my parents pass away before the start of the new millennium. My paternal grandparents were teachers of English, History and RE. I think this is where my love of the past sprang from. I enjoy many things including reading, writing, and listening to classical music. I read a variety of authors, including Oscar Wilde, Noel Coward and Jane Austen, whilst my favourite composer is Bach. I write articles for various magazines, charities and private publications. My works include; Mr Darcy’s Struggle. Darcy to the Rescue.
