Continuing where Thus Spoke Zarathustra left off, Nietzsche's controversial work Beyond Good and Evil is one of the most influential philosophical texts of the 19th century and one of the most controversial works of ideology ever written. Attacking the notion of morality as nothing more than institutionalised weakness, Nietzsche criticises past philosophers for their unquestioning acceptance of moral precepts. Nietzsche tried to formulate what he called "the philosophy of the future".

The science of emotion is in the midst of a revolution on par with the discovery of relativity in physics and natural selection in biology. Leading the charge is psychologist and neuroscientist Lisa Feldman Barrett, whose research overturns the long-standing belief that emotions are automatic, universal, and hardwired in different brain regions. Instead, Barrett shows, we construct each instance of emotion through a unique interplay of brain, body, and culture.

And how do we grapple with the imponderables of morality, religion, and consciousness?

Authentic elaboration of life rules
The rules of life based on the author was authentic and sincere.
The narration was not boring at all. It can keep me listening more and more.
The life rules are so true that it hurts, but they are truth that I couldn't deny.

This man, Jordan Peterson, is a damn good man.
Twelve rules for life, give me a break, sounds like every other useless feel good self help book. Not so fast - don't judge a book by its cover or its title for that matter. For me Jordan Peterson has shined his light on life itself and illuminated the dark corners of mine. I often pondered on those questions which seemed to me almost like pondering questions in physics or mathematics. But never have there been questions with more immediate implications not just for self but for mankind. A human being is a microcosm of mankind and how we as individuals choose to face the world, regardless of hard truths about our life, will decide how it continues or ends.
