#1: Unleashing the Hustler's Mindset: My Journey to Sales Mastery

  • サマリー

  • Are you looking for a blueprint to unleash your true potential in sales and life?

In this episode of The Stephen Cheevers Mindtrip, Stephen shares his own incredible journey of how he went from a young man fascinated by the allure of sales to running a top mastermind and creating the revolutionary Trojan Horse method.

Stephen dives deep into his fascination with sales which began in childhood, watching his father and grandfather achieve success through sheer persistence and skill.

    However, his path wasn’t straightforward.

From dreaming of being a lawyer, to rock stardom ambitions, and even a stint in mixed martial arts, Stephen explored various avenues before realising his undeniable call toward sales. This realisation came to him not in a boardroom, but amidst the hustle of a part-time job at Vodafone.

Attending a seminar by Jordan Belfort was a game-changer. Inspired by his teachings and lifestyle, Stephen knew sales was his true calling.

He didn’t just love the techniques and money, he loved making a difference in people’s lives.

His journey from there saw him transitioning from selling cars to pioneering a fitness app, and eventually co-founding a large mastermind of fitness coaches, before founding Coaches’ Closers.

Throughout this episode, Stephen generously shares how by focusing on the essence of ethical persuasion and the joy found in genuine sales interactions, he has transformed the traditional approach of selling into one that values connection, integrity, and mutual satisfaction - revolutionising how sales is perceived and practiced, and making it not just about transactions but about building lasting relationships.

    IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL DISCOVER:

    • How Stephen found his passion and calling, and why he loves sales.
    • Why you should ‘bet on yourself’ and take more risks when you’re under 30 (before the responsibilities of family, mortgages and the obligations that come with age start to weigh you down)
    • The most important lessons Stephen learnt from mentors, and how it shaped the sales results he achieves today
    • What makes the Trojan Horse method different (and why it’s possible to sell with such skill and ease that prospects don’t feel sold to—they feel understood, entertained, and ultimately, satisfied with their decision to move forward)
    • Insights into why the sales industry is broken, with aggressive sales tactics and worn-out scripts (and how it’s possible to wear a suit, share a laugh and close deals - without ever compromising on professionalism or results)
    • Strategies for personal and professional growth, highlighting the crucial role of persistence, resilience, and continuous learning in achieving sales mastery.
