    Barbara Symons is a tireless spiritual seeker whose experience within Christian fundamentalism spanned forty-three years. She was a teacher, Deliverance Minister (Exorcist), head of Women’s Intercession and Women’s Ministries, and served on the Council of Elders.


    After leaving the church system in 1999, Barbara began to explore multiple spiritual and homeopathic disciplines and was ordained. She has written two books: Escaping Christianity: Finding Christ and Musings from an Ex-Christian Fundamentalist.


    She is a frequent guest on numerous podcast platforms around the globe. Barbara has keen insight into organized religion and writes on social media, chronicling her journey to regain her critical thinking outside of the organized church system. She is an adept speaker and teacher who hopes to bring light into the mysteries and metaphorical content that may be found within the historical stories of the Bible and beyond.


    Barbara is married to Lyle and lives in College Station, Texas. They will celebrate their forty-seventh anniversary on August 19th. Together, they have three wonderful sons, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
