 Thunder's Mouth Theatre are delighted to present: a whole new comic drama of the audio fiction variety, to be broadcast via the podcast medium. "Baked Off!" follows the lives of a group of would-be home-bakers based in England and Scotland, who meet up for a regular online baking class under the tutelage of a retired Australian chef in Brisbane, Australia. Over the course of eight fully scripted (20-30 minutes) episodes, we learn about their lives, work and family relationships, as they are learning how to make sourdough bread. Each week they strive, fail and strive better, supporting and challenging themselves and each other as their private lives take unexpected twists and turns.

    Episode 6 of the limited series: “Baked Off! Live, Laugh Loaves” in which we follow the lives of two aspiring bakers of sourdough bread and their online professional chef tutor, each based in a different country. In this episode, Julianna (in Liverpool, England) is in the middle of a health and starter-related crisis, Duncan (in Edinburgh Scotland) offers some support, while Margot (in Brisbane, Australia) manoeuvres her way round the progress of all the online class participants. You heard (in order of appearance) Frankii Phoenix as Sammy and Angelica, Tayo Aluko as Ade, Erika Sanderson as Julianna, Christopher McDougall as Duncan, Flloyd Kennedy as Margot, Wendy Lap as Rosemary, Roy R Carruthers as Freddie and Andrea Richardson as Caroline. Live, Laugh Loaves” a dip and dive into the lives of a bunch of would-be sourdough bread bakers, and of course, their course instructor over there in Brisbane. This episode finds Margot heading over to the doctor’s surgery for a checkup, where she discovers some dodgy shenanigans going on, while Duncan, Freddie and Julianna seem to be having more success with their loaves. Rosemary, however, has more to contend with than keeping her starter alive.
