  • Don't Threaten Me with a Good Time!
    2024/01/18

Next episode from the vault drop.

Chris is still in Montana and went for a nice float. Nick and his family adopt kittens that now are probably legally able to drink. Unfortunately, his return from work meetings in New York is one to remember but not in a good way. It’s all worth it when he and his wife stumble across a nice Montana beer fest with some 80’s hair metal. Even though it’s probably all a lie, Nick chooses to believe that the cooler (still in the 90s) weather is here to stay in Austin. Nick has another run-in with COVID but hopes it doesn’t affect his upcoming trip to see Phish. Don’t forget your hair….I mean bear spray in Montana. John’s family got a new dog…….she’s now almost 2 that is named, in part, after a Patriot’s great. Hot take from John Tumble 22 > Hattie B’s. He also gets another new job. He also got to see Garth and his daughter got to share a special moment with Mr. Brooks before he left the arena. We talk about the incomparable Vin Scully. John is going to Portland for the first of many work trips and thinks he isn’t going to get to enjoy fresh the hop season, but future John knows that he does. For whatcha drinking: Chris enjoys a west coast IPA named June Grass from Mountains Walking and John and Nick are spellbound by the wizardry that Taylor and crew at Pecan Street were able to pull off with the collaboration pilsner. Demystifying the craft returns with, how do you approach bringing beer to a party? Then another round of the ever popular, guess the celebrity’s height. Chris hits us with his walk down memory lane and a joke. Then he talks about a lot of very heavy things he has been dealing with lately and how we would handle those in our roles as fathers and spouses. We make an awkward transition to cream ales. Who was in charge of naming this style? John and Nick miss the mark a little with tasting a Red Horn Lightning McCream Cream Soda Ale. It was literally the closest we could find. Chris has a traditional cream ale from Bias Brewing in the Kali Creamsicle.
