In today’s society we can silently suffer from
-sadness
-worrying
-stress
We constantly put all this pressure on ourselves and feel that we need to people please. It can sound like:
-”I have to be this version of myself at all times;
-I don’t want to disappoint anyone”
Mastering this art of pretending that everything is ok, when in reality your needs are not being met, is actually…not ok.
Adding all this pressure to ourselves is not realistic and is way too much for one person to be responsible for.
Christalyn Howard, mental health counselor, is here today to talk to us about how women can break free from this pressure of feeling like they have to show up for everyone and do everything perfectly.
She has us ask
-what do you love?
-what are your roles?
-who assigned these roles to you?
This conversation is to allow women to break free from these roles and responsibilities and discover how to live for themselves and learn ways to say no and to take care of their needs before others.
