Stress isn't the problem - how we think about stress is the problem.
This discussion covers a bit of physiology to understand the body's stress response and how it works. We explore changing our state at cause (thoughts and feelings) and changing our state at effect (the body). By recognizing stress as data we can objectively evaluate the context to determine locus of control, observe our chronic thought patterns, core beliefs and assumptions to determine their validity, relevance and usefulness in improving our quality of life. When we curate our thoughts we are able to effect change at cause. We also discuss three hacks to immediately disrupt the stress response in our bodies. When we are able to change our state at the effect (our body) we can create effective strategies and techniques for managing stress and improving our quality of life.
