After losing a heart-breaker vs. USC in Las Vegas due to mostly self-inflicted mistakes, the Brian Kelly pop year may be more of an idea than a reasonable construct.

Week 1 lived up to the offseason hype!

While it took a half, Georgia was inevitable vs. Clemson. Carson Beck and the boys outclassed Cade Klubnik and company in a total referendum type of game for Dabo Swinney. Kirby Smart leads the best team in college football, and he knows it!

A little bit south of Atlanta, Cam Ward and the Miami Hurricanes looked the part in wiping the floor with the Florida Gators down in The Swamp. Billy Napier has virtually no chance to the survive the season. His only saving grace might be true freshman quarterback D.J. Lagway.

Although the ACC may not be the least bit good outside of Miami, we still have no earthly idea who is going to end up in the Heisman Trophy race. While guys like Nico Iamaleava and Ashton Jeanty shined, Avery Johnson and Riley Leonard did not look the part. We just need to let this season marinate just a bit.
