This week we’re studying the topic of salvation through Jesus Christ.

We’ve seen that salvation comes by grace through believing, and that it begins when we believe in our heart and confess Jesus as Lord. But how does a person come to that point of believing? The Word of God shows that the road to salvation begins with repentance—a turning away from sin and a turning toward Jesus Christ.

What does true repentance look like for someone who needs salvation?

Yesterday, we looked at the necessity of confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in his resurrection. Today, we turn to a foundational truth of our relationship with God– that salvation is not earned by works—it is the result of God’s grace, received through faith.

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” —Ephesians 2:8–10 (KJV)

This week, we’re diving into one of the most vital truths in all of Scripture—salvation through Jesus Christ. It is the foundation of our faith, the beginning of our relationship with God, and the doorway to eternal life. Without salvation, there is no hope; but with it, we have everything—peace with God, forgiveness of sins, and the gift of righteousness.

Throughout this week, we’ll explore what salvation truly is, how it is received, what it produces in our lives, and how we can walk in the fullness of what Christ has accomplished for us.

What does it truly mean to receive salvation as a gift, not a reward?
