• Confidence in a God Who Hears (I John 5:14-15)
    2025/04/22

One of the most reassuring truths in the life of a believer is this: God hears us. We are not left to send our prayers into the void, hoping someone might be listening. As born-again sons of God, we have direct access to our heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, and we can be confident—not merely hopeful, but assured—that He hears and answers us when we pray according to His will. This is not wishful thinking; it is the unshakable promise of God’s Word.

    Scripture Reading:

1 John 5:14–15 (KJV)“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

  • The Power of Prayer and the Peace of God (Philippians 4:6-7)
    2025/04/21

In a world filled with uncertainty and constant pressures, it is easy for our hearts to become weighed down by fear, anxiety, and unrest. But God, in His faithfulness, has given us a powerful means of access to Him—prayer. Prayer is not simply a ritual or a comfort mechanism; it is our direct line to the Creator of the heavens and earth. Through prayer, we communicate with our Father, who is both all-powerful and intimately present. It is through prayer that we stand in believing, believing God’s promises, and receive the peace that He alone can give.

    Scripture Reading:

Philippians 4:6–7 (KJV) “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

  • Salvation through Christ - Salvation Begins with Repentance (Acts 3:19)
    2025/04/15

This week we’re studying the topic of salvation through Jesus Christ.

We’ve seen that salvation comes by grace through believing, and that it begins when we believe in our heart and confess Jesus as Lord. But how does a person come to that point of believing? The Word of God shows that the road to salvation begins with repentance—a turning away from sin and a turning toward Jesus Christ.

What does true repentance look like for someone who needs salvation?

    Scripture:

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,

when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” —Acts 3:19 (KJV)

  • Salvation through Christ - Saved by God's Grace (Ephesians 2:8–10)
    2025/04/14

This week we’re studying the topic of salvation through Jesus Christ—the manifestation of God’s great love to all of mankind.

Yesterday, we looked at the necessity of confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in his resurrection. Today, we turn to a foundational truth of our relationship with God– that salvation is not earned by works—it is the result of God’s grace, received through faith.

    Scripture:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” —Ephesians 2:8–10 (KJV)

  • Salvation through Christ - Confess with thy Mouth and Believe in Thine Heart (Romans 10:9-10)
    2025/04/13

This week, we’re diving into one of the most vital truths in all of Scripture—salvation through Jesus Christ. It is the foundation of our faith, the beginning of our relationship with God, and the doorway to eternal life. Without salvation, there is no hope; but with it, we have everything—peace with God, forgiveness of sins, and the gift of righteousness.

Throughout this week, we’ll explore what salvation truly is, how it is received, what it produces in our lives, and how we can walk in the fullness of what Christ has accomplished for us.

So let’s begin with a question that challenges us at our core:

What does it truly mean to receive salvation as a gift, not a reward?

    Scripture:

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” —Romans 10:9–10 (KJV)
