Nurse Well-Being and Retention

  • サマリー

  • On the Nursing Now Podcast, I welcomed Kristen Gilmore, the Program Manager for Nurse Well-Being at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Kristen pulses with collaboration, support, and empathy for nurses. An absolute "nurse's nurse", her entire role revolves around supporting nurses at her facility.

Our fascinating conversation goes into the different ways healthcare facilities can make sure their nurses feel welcomed and heard. Hint: it's not with pizza. Kristen came in full force with multi-faceted ideas that propelled our conversation going.

If you're a nurse in leadership: get your pen ready. And if you're a clinical nurse, you're about to learn what it looks like when a facility actually cares about its employees.

Kristen had some innovative, exciting takes on:

    -dealing with burnout

    -increasing retention at all levels

-how we can do more to support our nurses

This was an absolute jam packed episode.

So jam packed I found myself NOT wanting to edit anything she said.

You can find the extended version on Youtube.
