  • Energy Awareness: The Hidden Battles Others Face
    2024/11/20

In this episode of The One Seed Podcast, I share a deeply personal realization that has become a significant milestone in my growth journey: understanding and respecting other people’s energy capacity.

This "seed" was planted in my garden during a recent moment with my daughter. I asked her to do something right after school, and her response was a bit snappy. My initial reaction could have been frustration or hurt, but instead, I had an ah-ha moment—I realized her reaction wasn’t personal. She simply didn’t have the energy or capacity at that moment, and it taught me a powerful lesson.

We are not with people every single minute of their day. We don’t see the physical energy they’ve expended or the mental strain they’ve carried. Whether it’s a child after a long school day, a partner who’s been navigating work stress, or a friend who’s quietly dealing with emotional weight, their energy capacity might be depleted in ways we can’t fully understand.

For me, this realization has been transformative. I’ve noticed how much I’m affected by other people’s engagement—or lack thereof—in conversations or interactions. But now, I’m learning to approach these moments with empathy rather than frustration. This shift is not only helping me navigate relationships but also propelling me further on my self-growth journey.

Join me as I explore why it’s important to acknowledge others’ unseen battles, how we can reframe our expectations, and why cultivating this awareness can empower us to live more peacefully and connectedly.

Let’s grow this seed of understanding together.

  • The Power of Glimmers: Finding Joy Amidst Daily Triggers
    2024/11/13

In this episode, I dive into the power of choosing connection and joy over daily stressors and "triggers." Inspired by a recent visit to my parents' home, I reflect on how our family chose to set aside the usual to-do list and simply sit, laugh, and reconnect. This quality time served as a reminder of how essential it is to notice and create “glimmers” in our lives—those small moments of happiness, joy, and gratitude.

I share how it’s easy to spot negative triggers throughout the day, but how often do we make an effort to see the positive glimmers that warm our souls? From a stranger's kindness to moments of laughter with family, these glimmers are there if we choose to look for them.

I also reflect on how, in spaces like the grocery store, we might unintentionally be someone else's trigger, perhaps by being in a hurry or not showing patience. This episode challenges me—and hopefully, you too—to become the glimmer in someone else’s day, making intentional efforts to spread positivity and kindness.

Tune in as I explore how noticing the glimmers and reducing our focus on triggers can bring more joy, peace, and meaningful connections into our lives.

  • The ‘So What’ Mentality: A Guide to Caring Less and Living More
    2024/11/06

In this empowering episode of The One Seed Podcast, we’re diving into a mindset shift that can transform how you approach life: the “so what” mentality. Many of us find ourselves deeply concerned with what others think, whether those opinions are true or simply made up in our minds. We let this fear hold us back from taking risks, pursuing our dreams, or even showing up authentically. But what if we could release the need for approval and just live?

I start by exploring why humans are so wired to care about others’ opinions and how societal pressures, especially for women, can amplify this anxiety. From worrying about how we look or sound to fearing failure at work or in our personal goals, these thoughts can keep us stuck. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

This episode breaks down the power of the “so what” mentality: letting go of unnecessary worries and embracing the freedom to take action, regardless of what others might think. I share practical steps to adopt this mindset, including how to challenge those limiting beliefs and take bold actions even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed. By reframing failure and seeing it as a natural part of growth, you can start making decisions for you instead of for others’ approval.

You’ll walk away from this episode feeling inspired to take risks, make mistakes, and live a life true to who you are. Remember, the world will always have opinions, but you get to decide if they shape your path—or if you choose to say, “so what” and keep moving forward.
