In this episode we interview Shen Vega, a fermentologist from Costa Rica, Owner of Nature's Pace. A company that specializes in ginger beer and other fermented foods like kimchi and kombucha.
Shen's story will make you realize how easy in life you have got it. On more than one occasion Shen has been on what Robert Greene calls "death ground", only having one option, betting it all to survive, and Shen has pulled through every time. Which is the most important take away from this episode. Having an option B is a smart thing to have, but when you listen, you'll find that having that option b can be as damaging as misfortune in terms of succeeding or not.
Shen's take on life and business is a beautiful thing. The patience that he exhibits in both his Daoist beliefs and his business name, Nature's Pace, gives you the right expectation to have when attempting to bring things to fruition. Everything has its pace, its rhythm, its cycle. Sometimes things can take a lot of time and effort, consistency, Shen is a beautiful example of what it means to be a one man army slogging through the trenches.
