Sci-Fi Shorts is a collection of classic science fiction stories from the golden age of space fiction. This group of six unabridged short stories by various authors covers such adventures as secret research projects, underground robot organisations, a subjugated Earth, getting trapped in the void, alien minds, and strangers from Jupiter.

Bringing Evelyn E. Smith’s public domain works to life again, after a publication lapse of nearly three quarters of a century, has been a passion project for us. The satire and symbolism of her work is as relevant today as when these tales were written, in the latter decade of the 1950’s. Then, her stories and novellas were categorized as futuristic fantasy (or gothic romance, in some cases) for a relatively small market. One senses in her writing that Ms. Smith was creating her fiction more to amuse herself than to leave any lasting legacy — though she most certainly did so.
