Bob Barnaby runs an old drama theater and manages a drama troupe. But the night before they begin their new play Marriage and Divorce, Bob’s actors - along with his male and female leads and their understudies - all quite over lack of payment of wages. Bob is left desperate. Financially, he’s on his last legs, and if he can’t put on the show tomorrow, he’s finished.
