Albert the Numbat eats termites for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and he wants to try something new. So he and his friend, Bam the Bilby, set out to find some treats. But things don’t go according to plan. Find out what happens on Albert’s really bad day. One morning, Bam the Bilby was out foraging for food when he came across his friend, Albert the Numbat. Numbats had lived in the scrubland for thousands of years, but now, because of foxes and wild cats, there were just a few left.

Belinda the black cockatoo lived with her partner, Henry, in a eucalyptus forest that spread along the banks of a river in a valley winding between wheat farms and the rocky hill country. Every year Belinda and Henry returned to the same nest high in an old gum tree. It was built in a cosy hole, where a rotten branch had once broken off in a storm.
