An alien consciousness arrives in a human body, and sets events in motion that disrupt the young lives of Venessa and Dan, cousins who never got along and were just beginning to navigate the adult world beyond their traumatized homes. As they investigate the source of their problems, they discover unexpected connections to their family, and to more epic cataclysms in the past and future of both humanity and the planet Earth.
