    The powerful SunRose IronShell speaks to our WYLDSAGE founder Deborah Anderson about creativity and the ancestral wisdom that is woven into her indigenous art.

    SunRose is Sicangu and Oglala Lakota of the Titowan Band of the Oceti Sakowin, the Seven Council Fires known to the world as the Sioux Nation of Indians. She breaks the stereotypes of what America wants Native art to be and is an independent curator, poet and fashion entrepreneur.

    In 2012, she earned two Bachelor’s degrees from the Institute of American Indian Arts (Santa Fe, NM)for Studio Arts & Museum Studies. She also received awards from the South Western Indian Art Market SWAIA (Santa Fe.NM) and He Sapa Designer of the Year (BlackHills,SD). A

    s a Ledger artist, she takes the traditional form of documentation and reflects a narrative of how Indigenous people are living. Her art gives life back into the old techniques by documenting Oceti Sakowin supernatural icons and stylized portraits.

    SunRose has been an advocate of indigeneity and an ambassador for the re-matriation of her people as citizens of the earth throughout her life.She is also a Co-Host on 90.7kpfk Los Angelos “Eagle & Condor: Be a Better Relative” airing weekly Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00pm pst.

    Taking a deep dive into self healing with Michele Seda and WYLDSAGE founder Deborah Anderson.

    Answering the call of herbalism, Mechele connects with the earth and the magical healing properties of plants. Creating nourishing infusions, teas, tinctures and salves to support her healing journey, family and friends. Being a health conscious person, she loves creating wholesome, delicious healthy guilt free food and treats. She truly is a creatrix, always coming up with new ideas.

    Not only does she work with the earth medicine, she also creates various delicate pieces of statement jewelry and wearable accessories, home accessories, wall hangings and art, working with beads, wire, metal, yarn, fabric and repurposed materials for these beautiful creations. She has participated in multiple makers markets and events including limited quantities of her work in specialty stores.

    Additionally, Michele’s life and creative journey includes NYC, where she was born and raised, NJ and now Kingston, NY. She is a wife and the mother of four children who are exceptionally talented all in their own way.

    Deborah Anderson speaks with Daria Hines around the subject of healing, wellness and self-care.

    Daria is a certified IIN Health Coach, 300-hour Yoga Alliance certified Vinyasa Yoga instructor, 300-hour Yoga Alliance Yin yoga certified practitioner, and an IHP student/candidate integrative health coach in training based in Laguna Beach, CA, and Nosara, Costa Rica. With a passion for helping clients bring their bodies and minds back into balance, she guides them to connect with their own intuition and equips them with the tools and support necessary to heal themselves and reach their goals for wellness.

    Daria's journey into health and wellness began after experiencing the loss of a parent to a terminal illness and overcoming her own health challenges. Motivated by her personal experiences, she delved into nutrition and detoxification before embarking on a decade-long journey as a yoga teacher, sharing her knowledge and expertise with others.

    Outside of her professional endeavors, Daria is a wife, mother of 3 and a forever student passionate about travel, design and finding joy in exploring nature, practicing meditation, and immersing herself in the vibrant cultures of the places she calls home. She strongly believes in the power of holistic healing and is dedicated to making a positive impact on individuals and communities alike.

    Known for her acting roles in film and TV, Alice is now more recognized for her work as a religious trauma recovery advocate, appearing on prominent podcasts and presenting at conferences on the topics of purity culture, neurotheology, and finding meaning in life as an atheist.

    Alice founded DaretoDoubt.org in 2019 connecting those fleeing spiritual abuse with resources helping survivors heal from the unintended damage of faith-based beliefs. A controversial figure for her outspokenness against religious and political fundamentalism, Alice finds her deepest sense of purpose helping others free themselves from the shackles of fear and shame.

    She lives in LA with her cat and fiancé and loves hiking, learning, and eating anything with melted cheese.

    Our founder Deborah Anderson with Felicia Ruiz, a curandera, author and cook, speaking about the journey towards self-discovery and empowerment.

    Felicia Ruiz is a curandera, award-winning author, and indigenous foods activist recognized for her work with food and lifestyle as medicine. As a child she was deeply influenced by her great-grandmother, who was well-known in her New Mexico community as a curandera. Also called by the healing medicine, Felicia honored her own spirit and began learning folk herbalism, whole food cooking, and other holistic modalities with Indigenous teachers across the Southwest.

    Felicia’s work has been featured in Spirituality & Health, Forbes, Bon Appétit, and several other media outlets including Padma Lakshmi’s Taste The Nation (Hulu). Felicia lives in Phoenix, Arizona, where she is currently working on her second book–the first of her children's picture book series–sharing stories of women, wisdom, magic, and cooking.
