• Is Quiet Quitting a New Concept?
    2022/10/12

In this week's episode I am talking about something we have been reading about a lot of late. The concept of quiet quitting. Is this a new concept or is the phrase irrelevant to the discussion that is truly needed?

    I discuss:

    • why only 15% of the workforce are actively engaged
    • is quiet quitting actually what is happening in our work force?
    • what does engagement mean for employees and employers
    • whose responsibility is it to ensure that employees are engaged and happy
    • is there clarity within your organisation

I would love to hear your feedback about quiet quitting and if it is impacting you or your organisation.

    About Adam:

I am a Certified EOS® Implementer and an executive leadership coach. I work with CEO’s, managing directors, their boards and leadership teams as well as aspiring leaders who want to climb the corporate ladder. I help them achieve greater results for their teams, their businesses and themselves. How? By taking them from where they are to where they want to get to. I do that not by answering their questions, but by questioning their questions. By being Frank and Fearless. I ask tough questions and encourage my clients to say what they really think. I create space to enable them to stop, pause and reflect. Out of that space comes clarity and real opportunities for growth. I help my clients do incredible things. I help them understand that good and bad things happen. Life goes on regardless. What matters is your perspective and how you react to the shit that happens to you. What you get out of life depends on how you navigate your way through it.

  • What's in a Question?
    2022/09/14

In this week's episode we hear from our Frank and Fearless associate coach Kelly Feehan who talks to us about questions. She tells some of her top questions that she has been asked in coaching and the ones she asks a coach. Not only does consider questions in terms of coaching and bringing people close to their goals but also how to consider what barriers have arisen. The questions in this episode are not just for coaches but for managers and leaders alike. How do you use questions with your team to empower them?

    About Kelly Feehan:

Kelly has worked exclusively in the public and not for profit sectors which has included everything from frontline case work to Senior Leadership roles. The common factor in all of her roles has been empowering people to move forward from where they are now to where they want to be. This can be work place or employment goals, to much bigger questions around purpose and satisfaction. She is particularly motivated by working with individuals who are looking at changing direction or those who have big aspirations for their lives!  As a coach Kelly specialises particularly in facilitating mastermind groups. She has personal experience of being part of mastermind groups over the years to develop her own senior leadership positions and brings all this experience across to merge it with her coaching experience.

We talk about the effects lockdowns had on teams with some surprising benefits. We also talk about the importance of the people we surround ourselves with and how the workplace in these modern times demands leaders who can work within a culture of openness, transparency and vulnerability. Leo will truly open your eyes to the huge benefits of working with peers.

Key to this episode is Roger's explanation of the importance of clarity for your business. We talk about the difference between working in and on your business and the power that a clarity break can have. The topics of trust, speaking our truth and the importance of space and time for business owners are discussed and I know that this episode will have an impact for you.

    About Roger:

Roger Vertannes is the Founder of Leadership Counts and is a leading Certified EOS® Implementer. EOS®, the Entrepreneurial Operating System is a complete set of simple concepts and practical tools

that has helped thousands of entrepreneurs get what they want from their businesses.

Born in London, the youngest of 10 children, Roger is a dedicated family man, husband, and father of two. He loves to share his knowledge, expertise and business journey to help entrepreneurs to clarify, simplify and achieve their vision.

From age 24, he successfully managed the growth of his family-owned freight forwarding company, then a soul-searching moment led him to use his passion for sport and health to co-found his UK sports enterprise. He built and sold the company in 2006 to achieve his dream of settling in Australia.

Roger’s journey includes helping Australian business owners achieve their succession plan. As a respected and licensed business broker, Roger discovered too many business owners were failing to maximise the value of their enterprise. Roger found this gap astonishing, and the statistics ignited his obsession to help entrepreneurs to get what they want.

With his expertise in leadership, management and building high performing teams, Roger has helped business owners of over 400 companies to get the results they want.
