Amy Eiges is a health coach and reformed chronic dieter who is passionate about helping others recover from the diet-binge-gain-shame cycle she struggled with for years. Since discovering ketogenic and low-carb lifestyle, she has lost over 200 pounds and has both reversed pre-diabetes and resolved lifelong depression. “When I was just starting out, facing 200 pounds to lose seemed insurmountable, and the idea I would ever be where I am now was unfathomable. Know this: I am not extraordinary. I just finally got the right advice, put one foot in front of the other and didn’t look back. I know now that it can be done, but after battling this war for 40 years I had lost hope that it was really, truly possible. I am living proof that it is.”

Amy shared her story with us and the story of the medical practice she's joined and how they work with employers to improve metabolic health of employees and de-prescription, reduce lost sick time and improve productivity. All of this decreases costs for group coverage plans and helps the businesses who are helping their teams.

Alex has a leadership coaching business called August Consulting where he helps leaders hone their skills to make sure their teams are high performing, healthy units. His background in special operations during his military service gives him a unique perspective. Dr. Cyril Barch is a retired internal medicine and geriatric specialist who has decided to devote some of his time in retirement to encouraging people to put Advanced Medical Directives in place. AMD's are documents that instruct a medical team on what to do and not to do if you are medically incapacitated and can't make your own decisions. This document can help alleviate stress from family members and loved ones because you have pre-determined what will happen in this horrible situation. So many people don't know this type of document exists and just as many avoid the topic because it is unpleasant to talk about. But Dr. Barch is working to open those conversations, provide free resources and encourage businesses and teams to talk about this very important topic.

As a college student and son of parents in the medical professions, Luka saw what the COVID-19 situation did to the front-line providers of care in terms of getting supplies on time, of good quality and definitely at a fair price. He built a supply chain marketplace to help facilitate this and it caught on. Now he and his team have built Grapevine into a marketplace not just for times of crisis, but in day to day operations of medical facilities. We discussed the genesis of Grapevine, where it is now and the service it provides in the marketplace. We're excited we got to talk with Luka and hear his story so we could share it with our audience.

Tammy Nevin was a busy realtor and mom who, like many during the Covid years, found herself stuck at home and needing to find options for caring for herself without access to the usual places. But options like red light were either expensive or cheaply made so she set out to build her own version of products that found the happy medium and Happy Sol Wellness was born.
Tammy talks about how red light has helped her skin, sleep, helped her husband and his bad back and she has success stories from customers to share as well. Her journey is one of health, entrepreneurship and determination and we think everyone will enjoy this episode.
