  • What Is The Synchronicity of Leadership
    2024/11/21

Thank you for all of your support. Please let us know what you think about our podcast and what topic you may want to hear from us. Leaders, Lead Well!

Most leaders are stuck with the question, "How do you get people to act exactly as I want them to?" Many of these same leaders define "successful" leadership as a tool for achieving efficiency and effectiveness, often focusing on narrow commercial outcomes. They tend to overlook the human qualities and dynamics of both leaders and those they lead. However, truly effective leaders understand that leadership is relationship-oriented, creative, and constructive and encourages the release of human possibilities - enabling others to break free of limits that are created organizationally or self-imposed.

What we are referring to is Synchronicity in Leadership.

Join Rich and Maikel as we dive deep into the topic of Synchronicity in Leadership in this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT.

  • Leading from the Ground Up: Why Fundamentals Matter
    2024/11/13

Thank you for all of your support. Please let us know what you think about our podcast and what topic you may want to hear from us. Leaders, Lead Well!

In today’s fast-paced world, leaders can easily get caught up in advanced strategies and trending innovations. But what about the foundational skills that create a strong base for effective leadership? A leader with a solid grasp of a few core principles is far more impactful than someone with a broad yet shallow understanding of advanced tactics. The former is likely better equipped to diagnose issues and devise practical solutions. Furthermore, essential skills like effective communication, active listening, and accountability drive high-performing teams and create resilient organizations.

Mastering the fundamentals fosters discipline—a crucial trait for success in almost any endeavor. Developing a respect for the basics is, in essence, creating a respect for discipline itself. Embracing the fundamentals teaches leaders the focus and persistence needed to achieve meaningful, lasting success.

In this episode, Rich and Maikel dive into why mastering the fundamentals is crucial for long-term success in this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT.

  • The Club You Can't Join
    2024/10/15

Thank you for all of your support. Please let us know what you think about our podcast and what topic you may want to hear from us. Leaders, Lead Well!

Hollywood is often portrayed as a world of glitz and glamour, home to the rich, famous, and beautiful, with their mansions and seemingly carefree lifestyles. It’s seen as the place where dreams come true—especially if you're a young starlet or handsome actor with the right looks and talent to make it on the big screen. The media pushes the idea that we should aspire to be like them, but that's far from the truth!
Cheating, lying, sex trafficking, murder, rape, abuse, ageism, prostitution, and the infamous casting couch are just a few of the scandals that have been and are currently changing the face of the entertainment industry. Yet, these "beautiful people" are still put on a pedestal as role models and leaders and are idolized by millions worldwide.

    WHY?

So can anyone join their club? Furthermore, why would anyone want to?

In this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT, Rich Baron, and Maikel Bailey discuss the dark side of idolization and leadership.

  • The Dumbing Down of Leaders
    2024/10/08

Thank you for all of your support. Please let us know what you think about our podcast and what topic you may want to hear from us. Leaders, Lead Well!

During the early 1900s, the subjects taught in High School were much different than today. Greek, Latin, Math (without calculators), and Handwriting, just to name a few were expectations. If you didn't pass the required courses, you didn't graduate. Fast forward to today and we now offer remedial English and Math in college. Several other important lessons such as accountability, problem-solving, self-discipline, and simply showing up seem to be less important than making sure that everyone gets a blue ribbon, or a pass to the next level whether it is earned or not. After all, we don't want to leave anyone behind even if they failed to put in any effort at all. It just wouldn't be fair.

So how does this impact today's leaders? Global statistics show that 75% of all leaders are failing. Other studies show that less than 10% of all leaders have the ability to lead effectively. Is there a correlation between failing leadership and the dumbing down of the education system?

Rich and Maikel discuss why hard lessons are important in leadership development in this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT.
