Here’s what I think about “Just think Positive”. I equate it to taking a crap. We will have those days where we have “negative thoughts” and that’s us taking a crap, there’s the shit in the toilet.
Now if you “Just think Positive Thoughts” that’s like spraying the air freshener, and leaving the bathroom. Now it may smell good in that moment, but what happens when you have “negative thoughts” again (gotta take a poop), you go back to the toilet to take a crap and the old crap is still there, now you have more crap on top of the old crap.
Then you spray the Positive Thoughts again.
And repeat the cycle.
The shits still there.
BUT if you simply acknowledge that you have to take a crap and you acknowledge the crap, take care of it and flush it down the toilet, AND THEN spray it all down with Positive Thoughts your bathroom becomes a more pleasant place to be.
