    Today I'm chatting with Sarah Ashton from Matresences Matters.     Sarah is a Perinatal Occupational Therapist supporting families and mothers with their transition into, adaptation through and transformation in motherhood - maternal mental health. Sarah is also a mum of two kiddos who challenge her expectations of herself and them on the daily. They are her biggest teachers. 


    Today we are shifting gears a little and we are going to talk about Relationships in Matrescence. The challenges we face, how we can communicate in our relationships and just some real talk on our own experiences on this topic.

    I'm so excited to introduce you to today's guest, he’s making waves in the birth world and I'm so grateful to have him on!


    Today I'm speaking with Nathan Riley MD, Nathan is a board-certified OB/GYN and hospice and palliative care physician he is also the host of The Holistic OBGYN. Podcast.


    Nathan, as he describes it, is a recovering conventional doctor. 

    He was in school for most of his life, trained in two medical specialties, then looked back and found himself disillusioned with the conventional maternity care model. Now, instead of serving the medical industrial complex, he serves women and their partners in achieving vitality. Nathan has done extensive study in holistic lifestyle medicine, and his practice is based on the midwifery model.


    I really hope you find this episode helpful, I'm so grateful for Dr Nathan Riley coming on and sharing his knowledge wisdom and expertise around high-risk pregnancy and birth he really is a wealth of knowledge.

    Today I'm honoured to bring you a very special guest Doctor Arne Rubinstein. Dr Arne has founded the Rights Of Passage Institute here in Australia and the work that they are doing it so important. The ROP institute use a Framework to help individuals strengthen their sense of self, learn critical life skills, discover their potential and create a healthy vision for the future. They are working to create a world where all people and communities thrive. 


    Now you may be wondering how this relates to you and your children. In modern society we have lost most Rites of Passage and instead we see young people trying to create their own, often with disastrous consequences. Our young need evidence based programs that help equip them with the confidence and tools to tackle the adventure and challenges that lie ahead. 


    I myself wish I had access or awareness of rites of passage growing up, which is why I’m so passionate about sharing this information with other parents, if you're a cycle breaker your going to love this conversion!
