  • EP 13 Making fueling easy & inclusive for the everyday athlete
    2024/08/06

Laura Jorgensen is a driven entrepreneur with an early career focus on financial data solutions and building high-performing teams. With data-driven success as a savvy analyst, Jorgensen became the youngest manager in Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s corporate history in 2014. From there, she turned her attention to a professional cycling career where she spent seven years ascending the ranks to over 50 podiums and a spot on the United States National Team.

During her time in the saddle, Jorgensen incubated an e-commerce startup, The RunnerBox and RiderBox subscription service, earning testimonials from top-tier publications for being “The Best Subscription Box for Runners.”

Courteney Lowe joined the New Zealand National Cycling Team at age 18 and won the New Zealand Road Race National Championship in 2013. After first encounters, it's clear that Lowe is a driven leader grounded in a passion for creating connections and uplifting those around her.

As COO of Fuel Goods, Lowe uses her skills and relationships in the endurance community to bring top-quality nutrition and education to the marketplace without the tinge of elitism commonly found throughout the industry.

During her 15-year cycling career, Lowe fostered connections with many industry leaders. In 2015, she leaned on her expertise as a professional cyclist and her education in exercise science to join her Pepper Palace Pro Cycling teammate Laura Jorgensen at The RunnerBox and RiderBox.

As the company matured, the duo found themselves at the helm of an opportunity to speak to beginners and self-starters looking for a friendly place to learn and explore. In 2024, they reimagined their business and transitioned into Fuel Goods, an innovative e-commerce marketplace that speaks to a growing demographic of users discovering the joys of endurance sports.

In this episode we chat about:
